Application Fee
To submit the JTET Online Form 2026, candidates must pay an application fee based on their category and the level they are applying for. The fee is non-refundable.

Subject-Specific Eligibility for Paper II:
- Math & Science Teacher: Must be a graduate in a relevant Science/Math discipline with the above-mentioned teaching qualifications.
- Social Science Teacher: Must be a graduate in Arts/Humanities/Social Science with the above-mentioned teaching qualifications.
- Language Teacher: Must be a graduate in the chosen language.
JTET Age Limit and Relaxation
- Minimum Age: 21 years (as of 1st August 2026).
- Maximum Age: As per the age limit set by the Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language Department, Jharkhand for government services. Age relaxation is available for in-service teachers and as per previous exam intervals.
Jharkhand TET Application Form 2026
The Jharkhand TET Application Form 2026 link will be active on the official JAC website, jacexamportal.in (Exam Form Portal section), from 21st April 2026. Candidates must keep a valid mobile number, email ID, passport-size photograph, signature, and other important documents ready beforehand to apply for JTET 2026.
JTET Selection Process 2026
JTET 2026 is a qualifying eligibility test, not a direct recruitment exam. Candidates must clear the Written Exam to become eligible for Primary-level and Upper Primary Level teaching jobs in Jharkhand schools.
Written Examination (Paper I / Paper II). Candidates have to appear for Paper I (Classes 1–5) or Paper II (Classes 6–8), depending on the teaching level they choose. Those aiming for Classes 1–8 must appear for both papers. The exam is offline with multiple-choice questions and lasts for 2 hours 30 minutes.
After the exam, candidates must secure at least the prescribed cutoff to be declared qualified:
- General Category: 60%
- BC-I / BC-II: 55%
- SC / ST / PVTG / Divyang: 52%
Candidates who qualify are issued a JTET eligibility certificate by the JAC.
Using this Certificate, candidates can apply separately for Teacher Recruitment in Jharkhand.
